Mahalo for your attendance and generous donations to Food Fest 2016— our 11th Annual fundraiser

Every year, people from all over the world come together to both celebrate this prestigious event and help raise funds for the many projects we sponsor. What many don’t see, is the hard work and dedication by the Rotary Club of Waikiki’s members and partners. We wish to give a big MAHALO to all those who have helped make this event such a successful and long lasting tradition which benefits those that we have committed to serve.

The International FoodFest 2016 is the primary source to fund all of our service projects for the year. Your ticket, as well as any silent or live auction item purchases go directly to benefit local schools, Rotary projects and scholarships. Just a few of the projects include, distributing dictionaries to local elementary schools, collecting school supplies for underprivileged children, and painting the cubicles at the Next Step Homeless Shelter. In addition, we are funding three worthy international projects overseas.

Being that this is an ‘International’ FoodFest, we would like to give special recognition to our visiting sister clubs from Hitachi-South Rotary Club, Tokyo Asakusa Rotary Club, Tokyo Edogawa Chuo Rotary Club, Osaka Shirokita Rotary Club, Osaka Hirano Rotary Club, and Okayama-South Rotary Club. Your attendance at this event was both an honor and a pleasure. Thank you so much for your continuous support each year. We look forward to a long and prosperous relationship and we will see you in Japan soon.

Mahalo to the entire Waikiki Rotary Club and our outside volunteers who organize this wonderful fundraising event every year. We thank you all from the bottom of our hearts for your hard work and your continuing support.

To all, let us celebrate the good that Rotary does worldwide through its commitment to ‘Service Above Self’. On behalf of the members from the Rotary Club of Waikiki, we say MAHALO for your support.

Mahalo nui loa
