Jane Ferreira - Honolulu Navy League
Jane is a strong team-building professional with leadership skills in business development, strategic partnership and community engagement. A brand ambassador with a consistent track record regardless whether a small business or in corporate America, a non-profit or a startup. A multiplexing, problem solver. Committed - Connected- Passionate.
After arriving in Hawaii in 1976, Jane went to work for the President of the Teamsters Union and Hotel Workers Union for four years, and the moved to the other side of the bargaining table and worked for the VP of Industrial Relations for Interisland Resorts. After they ceased operations Jane went to work for Hewlett-Packard. In 2007 Jane retired from Hewlett-Packard having served in various positions over 23 years. She was one of founding team leads for HP’s "Workplace Solutions" national team supporting the downsizing of the North American sales offices without sacrificing support and productivity. She served as the President's Office Customer Liaison for the Pacific, handing customer escalation issues and coordinated the Merger, Acquisition and Consolidation team efforts for the Compaq and HP offices in Hawaii.
The chapter after HP was within the high technology training Industry, excelling in Business Development, and leading the company in sales for the next four years. She was a part of an education start-up for a year and more recently was the Office Manager for Kewalo Basin Harbor, responsible for accounts receivable, accounts payable, customer service, harbor scheduling and assisting in the supervision of operations and maintenance.
Jane then took a year off to both spend time with her three grandchildren and dedicate herself to the non-profits that she supports; the Navy League Honolulu Council, AFCEA Hawaii Educational Foundation, USMC WW DET Hawaii, Hawaii State Science Olympiad, High School Cyber Patriot competition, Waipahu High School Academy of Engineering, and the Honolulu Sunset Rotary.
In February 2016 Jane was selected to be the Executive Director of the Navy League Honolulu Council.
