Director of development at Sacred Hearts Academy

 the Director of Development at Sacred Hearts Academy. I started my position at Sacred Hearts in July and have worked in public education in both administration and fundraising in Texas and Hawaiʻi. After studying at the College of William and Mary in Virginia and the University of St. Thomas in Texas, I worked at Teach For America, AmeriCorps for three years in administrative support for teachers and fundraising efforts.  Sacred Hearts an independent Catholic elementary and high school founded in 1909.  We offer a college preparatory education to students with varied academic abilities, religious traditions and socio-economic backgrounds.  We teach girls in grades Pre-School-12 with studies focused on Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) and values-based, community service oriented learning.  Annual Fund: Scholarships, Professional Development & Classroom refurbishments.  Approximately 40% of the students depend on financial support  Ka Lei ‘Ike is our Private Schools with Public Purpose (PSPP) project in partnership with Palolo Elementary. The program’s vision is to build leadership skills and a love of learning for women in the greater Kaimuki community.
