Over the years, Del has served in various capacities in his club, and was Club President in 2005-06. At the district level, he has served as an Assistant Governor in 2008-09, 2009-10, 2010-11 and 2012-13, and has assisted in sundry other roles, and was involved in the 2013 Rotary Global Peace Forum in Honolulu. Del spent the first 25 years of his legal career at the law firm formerly known as Dwyer Schraff Meyer & Green. He recently moved to Case Lombardi & Pettit, which is one of the oldest and most reputable law firms in the State of Hawai‘i. Del continues to concentrate his law practice in the areas of business, real estate and healthcare, handling transactions, as well as litigation and alternative dispute resolution. He has a B.B.A., Finance, from the University of Hawai‘i at Manoa, and a J.D. from the William S. Richardson School of Law, University of Hawai‘i, where he was an executive editor of the law review and a member of the international law moot court team.
Although Del was born on O‘ahu, he spent his childhood in New York, California and Lahaina, Maui, where he proudly graduated from Lahainaluna High School. He currently resides in Downtown Honolulu. Del has a lovely partner, Diana Doan, who is also an active member of the Rotary Club of Downtown Honolulu. When Del and Diana aren’t participating in Rotary service projects and other activities, they enjoy traveling (which includes attending Rotary International Conventions around the world), concerts, plays, dining and just hanging out with good friends and family.
