Menendez III is a veteran international businessman and entrepreneur who has successfully been conducting business in China and the Asia Pacific region for over 30 years. He is the founder of the MCM Group Holdings, Ltd. and 8M8 LLC organizations, specializing in international business development and trade with an exclusive focus on the Asian Pacific region, and a special emphasis on the People’s Republic of China.

Menendez was active in China’s return to the world markets in the late 1970’s. In the 1980’s, he served as President and CEO of Great Eastern Development Ltd. (GED), successfully completing the first US-China Equity joint venture for a major Fortune 100 company. He played an integral role early on establishing key business activities with China International Trust and Investment Corporation (CITIC). Menendez advises numerous U.S. and multi-national companies, as well as small and medium-sized businesses, in their China/Asia Pacific Rim initiatives. He has been a key advisor to governments on policies related to sustainable economic development and tourism.

Menendez is involved in many humanitarian endeavors, including a role in delivering medical supplies to needy recipients worldwide, and in recent years to Haiti, China, North Korea, Japan and Vietnam. He is a former United Nations special advisor to WHO and UNEP.
